Mood shift
I realized some time ago that it doesn’t take too much for me to cheer up. Whether I had a bad day at work, lost something, made some stupid decision or got offended, there are small things that can reverse my mood just like that.
I heard a friend saying that our actions and mood should be consistent with our beliefs and that we should base out life on something that doesn’t ever change. God, she said, suggesting that the only thing worth building on is God: a real, intelligent and interested in me God.
I was in a hurry, navigating through the alleys, making short turns trying to avoid the people that were there to decide that type of bread is better for them. The Hypermarket was not too crowded so early in the morning though, and that was good because I was late for work, made a stop to the bank and dealt with some not so pleasant issues while there and decided I should grab something to eat while running to work. Literally running.
On comes on the store’s playlist Matisyahu, a spiritual, amazing rhythms and intelligent lyrics band. It is only fair to say that I rushed no more. I stopped there for a second. The day just got better.
But I’m still working on the consistency thing.
